Proposal
For this photography summative, I choose to do sport photography, girl soccer specifically. Since I am the WCI Girls Soccer manager, I attend to a lot of practices, game days and tournaments around Ontario with the team. To take these photos, I use my Nikon D3100 with the telephoto Nikkor 55-200mm VR and the prime lens Nikkor 35mm f1.8 with a Dynex monopod. The telephoto lens is great for sports photography because it can zoom close to the player, well focus and light to carry around. The prime lens I would use when the team when there are no action and in the dark places. I can do well captured portraits images with this prime lens and give a picture with stunning bokeh in the background. I also add the monopod into my kit because for my experiences, sometimes I am watching the action going on the field and it happens to fast I could not take that image right away since my eyes are not in the view finder. I set the camera on a monopod as high as my view sight. I move the camera with my finger on the button to focus the dynamic area around on the still monopod and when action happens, I capture it. It would give me quality images even though I am watching the games.

Futbol
All of these pictures I took as RAW files and edited wth Adobe Photoshop CS6, Camera Raw CS6 and Photoscape to put multiple pictures in one picture.
There were a few chanlleges in shooting these photos; for example, when there was heavy raing and the team played under the rain, I could not take some pictures under the rain because I would not want damage my cameras. Or sometimes, I misfocused the fast movement pictures, ended up it gave me the blur results but the compostion and lighting are perfect. To shoot sports photography, we need to be quick, active and always get ready for any weather conditions: snowing, raining, thunderstroms... And yes for professional photographer, it is really hard for them when their team scores an important goal, they are extremely happy but they need to hold the emotions inside them and keep shooting the players' moments" scoring, celebrating... This is a challenging photography career and it caught my attention.

the most aggressive defender on the field of WCI Soccer. She is small but
strong, she does a lot of tackles in the game, though her opponents are big,

This moment is captured around 7:30am
before the Laurier Soccer Tournament. Aysun and Sierra were warming up on the
field and I decided to take 2 different photos and put them together, side by
side, when they were concentrating with the drills and when they were making
silly faces in front of my camera.

This
shot was captured when Kendra Saxton was doing the free kick. The free kick was
about 15 meters away from the net. The action of Kendra extend her legs to kick
the ball, the movements of the players from both teams to the position of the
ball coming, and the face expression of the goalkeeper were well described
visually in this picture.

This shot was captured on the Celtic Cup at St.
Davids. Julia Pavlik is an outside midfielder. She was walking on the field and
watching her teammates tackling the soccer ball. I took this pic vertically and
I went home, I thought that there was so much space in the picture. I decided
to add one quote in the picture to make the picture look more interesting to
the audience. I also added my autograph “Khavography” in just to make it look
more “professional
